From Bubs and Scrubs to Good-Nests!

I started Bubs and Scrubs almost 10 years ago as just a hobby and a way for me to pursue something creative.  I'm creative in a very practical way; not so much in a pure artsy way.  What I mean is, I like to pursue crafts that result in some useful thing...crafts like soapmaking (obvi), knitting, sewing, calligraphy, etc.  I'm also exploring art for the sake of art like drawing and painting but that will take some time to get good at.

Anyway, since I have all these interests, I knew I had to expand my business beyond bath and body items but didn't know exactly how.  Then, maybe in the shower (where I get my BEST ideas) or elsewhere, it dawned on me that I could create a marketplace totally devoted to the homebody and/or introvert.

I've spent most of my life feeling out of place for being such an introverted homebody but now I'm at an age where I embrace it.  I don't apologize for it, I don't make excuses for not wanting to be around (most) people, and I am content and happy because of it!  So, I want other homebodies to embrace their natural God-given personalities too - hence Good-Nests.

Good-Nests is meant to have a dual meaning.  #1 "Goodness" - good things, good times, good vibes, all the good.  #2 Making your home and your time there good for you and your loved ones.  Currently, my offerings are limited to where I began - soap.  But shortly I'll be adding more collections including items handcrafted or designed by yours truly, curated items from other makers and links to products/services you might appreciate.

So, are you a homebody - do you know one?  What would you like to see here? Feel free to comment below.

Oh yeah!  I'll be migrating my social channels from Bubs and Scrubs to Good-Nests over time.  I still have work to do to build up those channels so for now, it's still Bubs and Scrubs on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.  I mostly use Instagram so please follow me there.

Your Homie,
